Another Cool Friend (With Lot's of Safety Bike Tips!)

Hey people! There is one more friend i would like to introduce. I'm just gonna call her Hedgie, since she like hedgehogs so much. And it's best not to give out real names, so no bad guys or anything will know who we are. I hope you know who you are, Hedgie! I want to dedicate this post to her, one of my greatest friends ever. She has taught me a ton of safety things. Once, we called ourselves safety families! So here are five tips that I remember for bikers that Hedgie taught me because we bike to school and home together. Here they are:

1. Stay in the bike lane. If you are 10 and under, you may use the sidewalk. NEVER EVER go into the car lane. It's dangerous there, and you might get hit by a car.

2. Wear a helmet. It's best to wear one even if you're 18 or older, so that if you fall, you won't hurt your head and possibly have brain tumor, or even die!

3. Don't wear headphones. If you have the ones that you put into your ear, you can probably wear one of them, but it's best not to, so that you can hear drivers, other bikers, crossing guards, etc.

4. Stay close to the sidewalk. Not too close so that you ram into it and fall over or something, but so that other bikers who want to pass you, can pass you safely without bumping into you. Or so that you won't accidentally steer right into a car, especially if it's gonna turn. What I mean of staying close to the sidewalk, is that if the sidewalk is at your right, and the cars are at the left, stay to the right. If it's the opposite, (cars on right, sidewalk on left.) then stay close to the left. But it's probably always stay to the right. JUST GO TO THE SIDE WITH NO CARS. OR JUST STAY CLOSE TO THE SIDEWALK.

5. Use the crosswalks. I know it's gonna be boring and may take a looooong time, but just use it! And walk ALL THE WAY across before getting on and biking. And also WALK your way across. Don't bike or scooter across using the pedal. Just get off your bike and WALK.
It's better to be safe than sorry, as Hedgie always says to me.

Thaks for the saying and the bike tips Hedgie! Hope you guys like the pictures!
